Lvovich, David

Lvovich, David
(1882-1950)
   American communal worker. He was born in southern Russia, and was a founder of the Jewish socialist party SS. From 1921 he lived in Berlin, and later settled in Paris (1932-9). He then went to the US where he worked for ORT. He had already served as the vice-chairman of its World Federation since 1921. After World War II he organized occupational training in displaced persons' camps in Europe.
